Generally, i recommend to just replace the gaskets on your original oil cooler (included in my kits). While it is possible for these oil coolers to fail internally (oil/coolant mixing) its extremely rare to the extent that I have not seen it myself. If you feel more comfortable replacing it, that’s fine too.
Did you know that literally all “OEM” Oil coolers (Febi, Nissens, etc etc), come from the same Chinese factories?
OK well now you do. Some of these companies (including some ppl in the TDI industry) sell at what i consider inflated prices. Well maybe they’re onto something. They have real shops and I’m still working out of my basement.
So i decided to import them myself and sell them at what i think is a fair, and much lower price, where I can make money but still feel OK about it.
