The first piece of the puzzle for Gen1 Cooler deletes, made locally as always, with O-ring in upgraded material to replace N90452002o.
This part is actually not really my design. It is a 1:1 copy of the VAG 059121065AB / 059121065DS which was only available on the earliest 1st gen engines (BKS, BUN engine codes), which we never got in the US.
The key difference is the VW design is a two piece design, and painted, whereas this product is machined from a single piece of aluminum and anodized for corrosion resistance. There is likely no benefit of one over the order, but mine feels better 😊. And as we all know, feelings are the most important when it comes to buying parts for your car.
I made this part
1) because I feel bad about not making more for Gen1s yet.
2) People are keen on deleting NOW thanks to FunBard’s guide on Clubtouareg, and having to order this anyways.
2) Latvian warehouses think 3 months qualifies as express shipping and they literally refuse to ship 100 or an even number of of anything. Theyre like oh you want 100 of this? Yeah we will send you 37. Next quarter.
To be honest with you, my part is the same price as ordering the OEM part + O-ring from Europe. Maybe a little cheaper depending on who you order from. I’m including a much more robust HNBR o-ring than the stock material, but thats not really supposed to be the selling point.
I want to give people a domestic source so they don’t have to pay exorbitant shipping costs AND wait an eternity.
