Updates:
NEW Feb 2025:
- Turbo bolts are now Grade 12.9 Zinc flake bolts with higher tensile strength than OEM. These are 5mm Hex drive.
- Intake plate is now US-origin 7075 aluminum vs 6061-T6 originally for increased rigidity with reduced thickness.
- Intake plate thickness reduced to 3mm for increased thread engagement on the intake pipe inserts
This is an improved version of Darkside’s blockoff kit.

These plates must be used with a tune or CEL will come on and will interfere with regen.
EGR Must be turned off in tune, but DPF, Diesel cat, and Adblue/SCR catalyst can be left intact if desired.
This kit is compatible with 2013+ Gen 2 3.0 TDI engines only!

This kit is NOT compatible with 2009-2012 3.0 TDI engines
- CATA 2009-2012 Audi Q7 & Touareg TDI
To identify if your engine is compatible without knowing the year:
- Oil filter is at the front, passenger side of engine
- Plastic Intake plenum
- Oil filler cap on driver’s side side.
This will look like the photo below.
Kit includes
- 3mm Intake plate (Anodized 7075 aluminum)
- 7mm Oval Plate Blocking off at turbo (304 stainless)
- Genuine Audi/VW EGR turbo gasket.
- 12.9 Zinc-flake M6x16 socket head bolts
Note that the Intake plate does not need a gasket as it it seals against a square Oring.
