When removing intake manifold on Gen2 TDIs, the crossover high-pressure line must be removed, leading to risk of dust or FOD contamination of the fuel system.
As you jostle the harness, fuel, oil and coolant lines, debris easily falls into the exposed hole.
These caps thread on to the Male 14mmx1.5mm threads to eliminate the risk of contamination.
They also work for TDI injectors, and most male threaded connections in common rail TDIs and BMW diesel fuel systems.

Free STEP Model for Printing at Home
For those printing at home, PLA work work perfectly fine if you don’t have PETG or other HC-compatible filament.
Do no print with larger than 0.6mm nozzle on FDM printers.
Standard 15% infill is sufficient.
Diesel does dissolve PLA albeit very slowly. We’re not submerging this in diesel or oil though, so PLA will do just fine for temporary application.
